I tripped over this photograph after a move to Pennsylvania where I now live. I'm the little kid in front and my brothers are behind me. Brother Jack remembers the player (maybe manager) on the left as being Eddie Joost.

Dad (Carl L. Biemiller) was an editor with Holiday Magazine at the time and that probably had something to do with this photograph being taken.

You'll notice how the fans of that era were dressed. Quite a change these days.

Shibe Park is long gone (as are the Philadelphia A's; moved to Oakland, CA) and the site is now a mega-church.
